Our History

Camelot Plc is a security printing, business forms manufacturing, and design facility, based in Accra and listed on the Ghana Stock Exchange. For over 40 years, Camelot has been a household name in security printing, business forms manufacturing, design, and commercial stationery printing in West Africa. Being the pioneer in this industry in Ghana, Camelot Plc was founded by Elizabeth Joyce Villars and incorporated on February 8, 1977 under the Companies Code, 1963 (Act 179). It commenced operations in November, 1980.

For the past forty years, CAMELOT has pioneered various business forms and document design solutions in countries including Ghana, Togo, Burkina Fasso, Liberia, Benin, Côte d ´Ivoire, Ethiopia, and Sierra Leone.

In liaison with innovators of security products and instruments in the UK and Germany, and in an effort to market its arsenal of security products throughout Nigeria, CAMELOT has incorporated a subsidiary – Camelot Security Solutions Limited (CSSL). Strategically, CSSL is established to offer a one-stop shop to the security solutions industry, offering print solutions, banking technology, smart technology, and training. CSSL’s integrated approach has brought together leading banking and smart technology partners, and world class training teams for the banking, public, private, and state sectors of the economy.

CAMELOT’s principal objective is to offer world-class document design, security print solutions and flexographic printing on the West African market. The company also seeks to ensure the high standards of its products, the development of its employees and clients in line with trends within the industry, and the general development of the printing industry in West Africa. In meeting its quest for good corporate citizenship, CAMELOT helps support and develop the communities in which it operates.
